FSM Software Pricing (2026)
What each platform actually costs — entry price, how it scales with your team, and the fees vendors don't advertise. We track 14 field service platforms: 6 publish their pricing openly and 8 hide it behind a sales demo. For the quote-only vendors we publish reported figures and label our confidence, so you can budget before you book a call.
The short version: the cheapest option is free (ServiceM8's capped plan), and paid entry plans start around $27/mo for a solo operator, and a 10-technician crew typically pays $27–$3,500/mo in subscription alone. Payment processing and implementation fees are extra — and often the part that decides which platform is genuinely cheapest for you.

“Free” is a genuine $0 plan (usually capped and single-user); “Quote” means the vendor doesn't publish that figure publicly. Open a platform's pricing page for plan-by-plan detail and our reported-figure confidence label.
How FSM software pricing actually works
Field service platforms price in three broadly different ways, and which one a vendor uses matters more than its headline number once your team grows:
- •Flat tiers — you pay a fixed monthly price for a plan that bundles a set number of users (e.g. Jobber, Housecall Pro). Predictable, and cheapest for small teams, but you jump to the next tier — or pay per extra user — as you scale.
- •Per user / per tech — you pay for each seat every month. Cheap to start with one or two people, but the bill scales linearly: ten techs cost ten times one. This is where entry-price leaders can quietly become the expensive option.
- •Custom quote — the enterprise platforms (ServiceTitan being the obvious one) won't show a price until you take a demo. Expect per-tech pricing plus an implementation fee. We publish reported figures so you aren't walking in blind.
The costs that aren't in the sticker price
The subscription is rarely the whole bill. Before you commit, budget for:
- •Payment processing — most platforms take a percentage of every card and ACH payment you run through them. At real volume this can dwarf the subscription, and the rates vary enough between vendors to flip which one is cheapest overall.
- •Implementation & onboarding — enterprise tiers often charge a one-time setup fee running into the thousands. It's a year-one cost that never shows up in a monthly comparison.
- •Add-ons and extra seats — marketing tools, GPS tracking, extra users, and premium support are frequently sold separately. The plan that looks cheapest can lose once you add the features you actually need.

Pricing FAQ
How much does field service management software cost?
The cheapest way in is free — ServiceM8 runs a capped free plan — while paid entry plans start around $27/month for a single user. For a typical small crew of 10 technicians, subscriptions across the 14 platforms we track run roughly $27–$3,500/month — before payment processing and one-time implementation fees. Enterprise platforms that quote per technician sit at the top of that range.
What is the cheapest field service software?
ServiceM8 is the cheapest — it runs a permanently free plan (capped jobs, single user). Among platforms whose entry tier is paid, BookingKoala starts lowest at about $27/month. The cheapest sticker price isn't always the cheapest to run, though — payment processing rates and per-seat scaling can flip the math once your team grows.
Why do some FSM vendors hide their pricing?
8 of the 14 platforms we track don't publish a price list and route you to a sales demo instead — typically the enterprise-focused tools that price per technician and tailor quotes to your size. For those we publish reported figures aggregated from user accounts and review sites, clearly labelled, so you can budget before booking a call.
Is annual billing cheaper than monthly?
Usually, yes. Most platforms discount annual plans by roughly 10–20% versus month-to-month, but annual billing commits you for 12 months upfront. If you're still evaluating, start monthly (or on a free trial) and switch to annual once you've confirmed the software fits.
What hidden costs should I budget for beyond the subscription?
Three things catch buyers out: payment processing fees (a percentage of every card and ACH transaction you run through the platform), one-time implementation or onboarding fees on enterprise tiers, and add-ons for features like marketing, GPS tracking, or extra users that aren't in the base plan. On a per-provider pricing page we break each of these out so the "real" monthly cost is clear.
